Liz Firer-Gillespie

Senior Vice President, Asset Management

Ms. Firer-Gillespie has over twenty years of experience in real estate operations, leasing and financial analysis and is responsible for overseeing the asset management and leasing of Balfour’s investment properties.

Before joining Balfour in 2025, Ms. Firer-Gillespie spent over a decade at a Vancouver-based wealth management company, overseeing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of diverse commercial real estate assets in markets across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to moving to Canada in 2012, Ms. Firer-Gillespie started her career in Chicago working in various property management roles, culminating in the oversight of all operations for a 1.4 million square foot office building in downtown Chicago.

Ms. Firer-Gillespie is an active member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Vancouver and has been involved with their mentorship program since 2020. She currently serves as a member of the global CREW Network’s Sustainability Council.

Ms. Firer-Gillespie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business.
